Proval Volk was born in the United States in a time that is all-but forgotten: there were no cell phones, joysticks, or Internet for the masses. He grew up in Massachusetts in the era of Pong, the Commodore 64, and The Little Rascals, in a time when life as a child was spent more outside than looking at a screen, which undoubtedly contributed to his creativity and imagination.

Many decades and miles later, Proval returned to, and currently resides, in Massachusetts with the Phoenix of his stories, where he still wonders what he will do when he grows up.
